Beautiful trail with amazing views, mostly locals hiking with their dogs.
Ah what a nice hike! I'm so glad to get switchback instead of stairs. And there's lots of shade, which helps after getting some sunburn yesterday. It was also pretty windy towards the top which felt great.
There weren't many unobstructed views towards the end so it's tough to get clean photos but the views for myself were worth it.
Time it and write it down in the little.book he hung up at the fence.
What a nice trail. When you arrival the final view point, you will see the beautiful valley.
This trail offers not only stunning views of the North Shore coastline, but interesting and changing environments along the way. The path doesn't offer any technical challenges. It is a gradual and steady climb upwards. The switchbacks help in that process. This trail is used by hikers, runners, and dog walkers. While the trail is not completely exposed, there are portions that are. Wear sunscreen. We suggest trying this trail in the wintertime. The lower temps, stronger breezes, and partially overcast days are perfect for this one.
Continuing to the top, requires a steeper climb on the Kealia Access Rod then a switch over to the Kuaoloa Trail, 2.5miles.
Great trail. It is exciting but not too long. You'll likely meet a guy called Ed on the way, asking you for your time.
3.9 miles from the parking lot to the picnic table (the end of the Kealia Trail).
